I want to find out more.  How can I do this?

The easiest way is to get in touch via our ‘Contact’ page. Your enquiry will go straight to our Group Scout Leader, who will aim to reply within one week. If you would like to enrol your child directly with us, click below to add your child to our waiting list.

How much does it cost and when will I have to pay?

All members of The Scout Association are required to pay subscription fees to ensure 1st Stone Scout Group can meet the cost of insurance for each member and provide materials for a balanced, exciting and fun programme for all our young people. Our usual subscription fees are £40 per term, however for the first term we do charge £45 to help cover the cost of badges and the Group neckerchief.  The first subs payment will be due after your child has completed their taster sessions.  You can find more information on costs here – Membership Fees.

What uniform will my child need?

Your child will only need a uniform if, following their taster sessions, they decide to continue attending their Section.  At that point, the bare minimum required is a Beaver or Cub sweatshirt or a Scout shirt.  Please click below for more information.

Can I get any support with subs or uniform?

If you are a low-income household, we may be able to support your child with subs, uniform or camp fees. This support is decided on a case-by-case basis so please contact the Group Scout Leader via our ‘Contact’ page.
